Thanks to Ian Donnis of The Pheonix for pointing out the launch of a new RI weblog aggregator. BlogNetNews's Rhode Island site tracks the latest posts from many of the best local weblogs including Ian's Not for Nothing, Rhode Island's Future, Providence Daily Dose, Greater City: Providence, the Projo's 7 to 7 News Blog, and yes, the RI Nexus blog too. (Some other notables, including Subterranean Homepage News, don't seem to be aggregated yet, but hopefully will be soon.)

The BlogNetNews's launch is timely - it strikes me and other bloggers I've spoken to that the local blogosphere is on the ascent. The quantity, quality, and importantly, the interlinking, of local posts seems to have gone to a new level in the past few months.
