This is pretty wild, and I'd like to do a quick story on it for next week's Phoenix (deadline: end of day tomorrow, Monday).  Looking for your views on this "sound off" and on how RI is connecting on Twitter -- I know I see lots of great conversations going on all the time, and I follow only a tiny fraction of what's going on.

How big a deal is this for our community?  How good is the conversation, and what's missing?  How effective is this at connecting us, virtually and in terms of alerting people to real-world events/gatherings?  Is this helpful as a business promotional tool?  I see local media using it pretty well.  Oh and key question: Who's following this and who's not?  Do you post actively?

Sean Ransom shared some Ruby code that parses the Twitter handles from this page, which you can grab at http://gist.github.com/55293.

I made a fork of that code which creates an OPML file of the RSS feeds for all the Twitterers, which is available at http://gist.github.com/58478. You can grab my latest copy of the OPML file at http://mattgillooly.com/rinexus.opml.

Hopefully this is useful for people who want to keep tabs on this huge (and growing!) local Twitter community via their RSS readers. Let me know if you have any questions or come up with any neat uses for it!
