For those technology entrepreneurs who can't/don't/won't drive into Providence, we're hosting a South County Edition of RI Nexus Open Coffee, an informal get-together where you can talk shop, swap resources and connections, and get caffeinated. Whether you drop in for 15 minutes or are the last two at the tables, you'll get a unique chance to spend quality time with the best and brightest in the City-State startup community.

Code monkeys, pixel pushers and web heads unite! Join us each month for an informal get-together to discuss web development trends, tools and techniques. These lunch-hour meetings, hosted at Providence area restaurants, will give you the chance to examine such topics as web design, semantics, standards, accessibility, usability, servers, clients (as in software or as in people), popular trends, and any other topics that our members are interested in.

Design by Night (DxN) is AIGA RI’s monthly informal (and FREE!) get together held the 2nd Thursday of every month at a local bar/restaurant in downtown Providence. Each month our goal is to feature local artists and advocates in the industry. DxN is an opportunity to chat with fellow designers and non-designers over food and drinks. Everyone is welcome to attend, and encouraged to participate.

In this workshop, recruiting industry master cybersleuth Glenn Gutmacher will show job seekers – focusing on, but not limited to, artists and designers – how to uncover hidden opportunities in the job market, and how to reach recruiters and direct hiring managers using completely free methods available in the world of Web 2.0.
