Council for American Medical Innovation and the New England Biotech Association

Join the Council for American Medical Innovation and the New England Biotech Association for a discussion with some of Rhode Island's "Best and Brightest" minds about the serious challenges facing the United States in maintaining its global leadership position in medical innovation, and how an innovation agenda fits into the current health reform debate.

Moderated by Former Representative Richard A. Gephardt, Chairman of the Council for American Medical Innovation, and featuring a keynote address by Representative Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), the forum will also feature life science industry leaders, academic scholars, researchers, patient advocates and other stakeholders to shed light on how the U.S. – and Rhode Island – can navigate through the economic downturn and public policy challenges to maintain leadership in medical innovation.

FEATURING:

  • Former House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt, Chairman, Council for American Medical Innovation
  • Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), United States Congress
  • David N. Cicilline, Mayor, Providence, RI
