With recent revelations concerning cyberattacks on Google and other American companies, the broader topic of cyberwarfare has gained greater public attention. Herbert Lin, chief scientist of the Computer Science and Telecommunications Board, National Research Council, and editor of a 2009 report by the National Academies of Science, Technology, Policy, Law and Ethics Regarding US Acquisition and Use of Cyberattack Capabilities, will discuss current issues, including offensive aspects of cybersecurity.
