Founded in 1956 and named after the cofounder of Rhode Island, Roger Williams University offers 36 different majors and 5 professional schools. The RWU law school is the only law school in Rhode Island. RWU enrolls approximately 3,800 undergraduate and 850 graduate students.

Minors -
Roger Williams' Center for Professional Development (CPD) offers training in professional skills via extension campuses in Providence and Fall River, on-site training for corporate clients, and e-Learning courses. The CPD's IT program offers training for beginners and experienced professionals.
