In response to a number of concerns that the site was potentially too anonymous w/o the presence of actual names, we've added a new option.

Under My Account->Edit Account->Edit Profile you'll see a new checkbox - "Include my actual name on profile"

The checkbox defaults to unchecked. Checking it displays the user's full name parenthetically after the user's username on their public profile.

Hopefully this options helps us to move closer to the right balance between personal privacy and the need to know one's community (and equally important - to be known).

Tellingly a majority of new signups in the past day have opted-in and checked the box.
