Im-aj Communications & Design, Inc. was recently honored with a Silver Telly in the highly acclaimed Telly Awards competition for the Rhode Island Housing BuySmart Public Service Campaign. For 30 years, this international competition has been considered the most esteemed in judging local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online film and video.

The Rhode Island Housing campaign, entitled BuySmart, was created and produced by Im-aj, with production support from Tango Pix, to encourage homebuyers to make sound buying decisions and talk with professionals who have the buyers’ best interests in mind. In addition to Rhode Island Housing’s Executive Director, Richard Godfrey, the PSAs featured Denise Barge of the Minority Investment Development Council and Rob Scalaria of the Rhode Island Realtors Association.

Launched in Fall 2008 and continuing through this year, the BuySmart campaign includes media relations, billboards, and print, radio, and TV (network and cable) PSAs. The campaign supports a branded initiative, which Im-aj created for Rhode Island Housing to help deter the continuation of the real estate/mortgage crisis by aggressively educating consumers about smart buying practices. The messaging is particularly timely, as home prices and interest rates continue to decline, making this a very good time for many to consider buying a home.
