Anyone else planning to attend the SxSW Interactive Festival?
This will be my first time there... any hot tips from SxSW veterans?

Submitted on March 3rd, 2008 - 7:16pm linkTwo of us from BatchBlue, myself and Michelle, are heading down Friday. Last year was my first, so I'm hardly a veteran. But the first thing I'll say is REGISTER FRIDAY. If you wait until Saturday morning, plan to miss some panels.
Oh, and yes, there is more free booze than you'll know what to do with.

Submitted on March 3rd, 2008 - 11:51pm linkAny opinions on the hot app to come out of SxSW this year ? I think Josh Catone from ReadWriteWeb will be there, as he's had a couple of posts on RWW on whether the next Twitter will emerge from the Festival.

Will you be representing Public Display? If so, are other PD'ers going?

Submitted on March 4th, 2008 - 9:20am linkHey guys, I won't be attending but Ecolect is a finalist this year at SXSW under the section "Educational Resource". My business partner, Joe Gebbia will be there representing the us. He's a very down to earth guy and fun to hang out with. If anyone wants to connect with him while your down there email him at joe@ecolect.net

Submitted on March 4th, 2008 - 9:32am link@aktear: I actually won't make it to SXSW this year (I'll actually be on vacation this coming week :)).
But my colleague Marshall Kirkpatrick (the other lead writer at ReadWriteWeb) will be there from Sat-Tues covering it for us. (He looks like this: http://marshallk.com/marshallt... ).
If you see him around, say hi (or email him at marshall@readwriteweb.com if you have anything you think we'd be interested in and want to try setting up a more formal meeting -- I'm not sure what his schedule is like, though).
Both Marshall and I and the entire RWW team should be at the Web 2.0 Conference in San Francisco in April.

Allan: Clearly, FuseCal is the front-runner as this year's Twitter. =P
Jack: Tibet and I will be representing Public Display. People can come visit us at table 707 at the trade show!
Matt & Josh: Too bad you can't be there, but I'll look your respective colleagues up!

Go Providence! Way to represent!
