good internet provides in Providence
Posted on February 16th, 2009, by smagdali
Hi,
my UK-based company is opening an office in Providence next month. We need to get steady, reliable internet provision in our office, preferably ADSL2+ with static IP.
I've been looking at Verizon's offerings, but I was wondering
a) does anyone know if their Fiber-optic package is available in Providence?
b) Who are the alternative providers?
c) Does anyone have any recommendations/experiences to share.

Verizon has deployed FIOS throughout many PVD neighborhoods.
Look forward to seeing you at an Open Coffee.

OTOH- as Wayne points out, Towerstream, if you can afford the $500+ is ultra reliable, incredibly responsive, and can quickly provide you w/addl statics, and depending on your plan , at no charge. We have them in place for a couple of clients.
For our needs, VZ FioS more than fits the bill, and the price is right -about $140/mo including taxes and bs charges....
