Linux System Admin recommendations?

geographer

We are a small local company that is trying to do something different. We
have chosen open source technologies in building our ideas. As the company
has become more successful we need help supporting them. We are looking for
a team of folks who are passionate about technology and know open source to
provide thoughtful, reliable system administration services for our Redhat linux os
systems.

We are hoping the user group can recommend some good folks who will be there
when we need them with depth of knowledge and guidance for performing
routine maintenance as well as emergency support when we need it. Your
recommendations would truly mean a lot to us. Geographer

If you’re using REDHAT spend the money for the support to start out then wean yourself off as you get better at it.  Also some hardware vendors such as HP offer incident packs. You could buy some up front support packs to get through emergencies.  What you don’t want to do is put your trust into those that call themselves Linux experts and in fact are inexperienced and spend their time googling when they need to fix something for you.  Something I have run into in the past.  The old adage still holds true you get what you pay for.
