Submitted on February 27th, 2008 - 3:40pm linkCox High Speed cannot even touch the bandwidth that I get from Verizon. I have the basic internet package and very happy with it. No need to bump up to the 20Mbit download rate as you will only get what the site your downloading from allows out.
I won't switch back and tell everyone that is on the fence about switching their service.
Thanks

Cheers,
Jack

Submitted on February 29th, 2008 - 11:38pm linkFIOS is the same price for the same download/upload speeds. With that said, I still believe I get much better throughput from verizon than I ever got from Cox at any point. I have the base service which is 5mbit download/2mbit upload and don't find any reason to upgrade to a faster product as of right now. I am very happy with the entire bundle package from Verizon as well. My TV picture is 10 times better quality than my cable connection ever was plus there's 200 channels versus 74 that I was getting from Cox. My bundle price is 42.99 for the base package on FIOS internet. I'd give it a try before I took service from Cox. Good luck with what ever service you choose.
