Freelance Software Developer – Center for Digital Scholarship, Brown University Library The Center for Digital Scholarship in the Brown University Library is seeking a part-time software developer to work on a grant-funded project sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Experience with Python or Java required, as is a familiarity with XML and related tools. Knowledge of TEI, RDF programming, SPARQL, and web services development preferred. Applicants with substantial experience in fields involving digital scholarship may have the option to work remotely. However, we do ask that applicants be within 100 miles of Providence, RI so that we can arrange periodic face-to-face meetings. This is a one-year, hourly position beginning Sept. 15, 2010.
