Description
911Programs is a Rhode Island school based in South County teaching EMT, Paramedic, and allied health courses.
We have a database-driven online classroom that needs updating with new features. Our current IT designer is no longer doing this type of work. You may view the current site at classroom.911programs.com
The proper candidate should have the following skills: HTML, PHP (the back-end programming language), MySQL, JavaScript (using a mootools library however if you know JS it only takes a couple hours to pick up the library). You should have experience using a JS library (any one) and be well-versed in object-oriented programming. Our previous tech used Smarty as the template engine and ADOdb for the datbase abstraction.
The right candidate should also be prepared to give 20 hours per week until the major aspects of the overhaul are finished. This is a short-term project that could evolve into an ongoing maintenance situation.
