Year Up is a 12-month intense technical and business training organization that allows urban youth to be empowered and give back to the community. The program consists of 6 months of business and technical training at our Year Up site, and 6 months of hands on experience with local business partners. We are currently seeking business partners to take an apprentice (or two) for the January 2008 - July 2008 class. Our current partners consist of Citizens, CVS, Providence Equity, Bank of America, GTECH, ePlus, and many others.

Over 80% of our business partners are more satisfied with the work of our apprentices than they are of routinely hired untrained, college graduates. This is a paid apprenticeship where after the 6 months a company can decide whether they want to keep the apprentice full time, or support another 6 month apprentice. These apprentices are trained professional youth that are ready to perform all entry-level technical positions at a much lower cost than college graduates. Think of what you will be giving back to the community by giving an apprentice a chance to succeed and perform for your company.
