Dominion Diagnostics is looking for an experienced applications developer. The ideal candidate must be adept in multiple technologies and have a passion for continuous improvement of their skills as well as the software products themselves.  Must be able to work and learn new skills independently, as well as to execute projects in a collaborative setting. 

An ability to adapt to and extend an existing architecture is a must. Responsibilities will include: web/console/batch/GUI based application development, maintaining and configuring development servers, participation in requirements gathering, functional specifications, testing methodologies and assisting with internal documentation.

Requirements:

• 3+ years professional programming experience  (PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Visual Basic, .NET)
• Working knowledge of XML/XSLT
• Experience in development of web services
• 3+ years professional experience working with databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, mySQL)
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
• Ability to comprehend and implement complex business requirements in an exacting manner
• Effective communication skills

Strongly Desired:

• Familiarity with healthcare’s HL7 standard
• Working knowledge of version control tools
• Familiarity with various development methodologies and lifecycles
