JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of QA Testing and Implementation will be responsible for the direction and oversight of technical analysis and testing activities to support the System Replacement Initiative. This position will coordinate operational aspects of the implementation among multiple hosting environments and will oversee the go-live plan. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the developing of a test strategy and the oversight of the testing process.  

REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES: 

  • Direct and manage technical aspects of the System Replacement Initiative.
  • Direct staff in the definition of technical requirements, validation of design and approach, and champion creative solutions.
  • Direct staff in the evaluation of technical documents for review, validation and sign-off.
  • Validate technical infrastructure fits within overall technical strategy.
  • Direct staff in defining test requirements, creating test plans and executing test scenarios.
  • Make decisions that offer creative solutions to lessen impact to the operational areas for migration to the Replacement System. Insure quality results through test best practices.
  • Maintain a customer focus to facilitate positive outcomes for the overall initiative.
  • Provide strong overall leadership to assigned staff in order to ensure a positive, motivated and trained team

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience with both implementation (QA) and conversion activities  

Technical Skills:

  • Test methodologies and best practices
  • Automated testing tools
  • Understanding of scheduling and batch processing
  • Understanding of mainframe and client server environment
  • Programming and testing knowledge
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong management skills
  • Handle multiple priorities
  • Exercise sound judgment
  • Take initiative in finding solutions to difficult and/or sensitive problems
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
3 or more years of technical analysis, software design, and test methodologies 
2 or more years in a management role, or demonstrated experience leading a team of at least 4 – 8 people
3 or more years of healthcare related experience strongly preferred
