Front-end Web Developer

Providence, RI web site and web application design and development company in business since 1999 is seeking candidates for a front-end web development and multimedia design project. This position is a temporary, full-time position beginning as soon as possible and continuing through December '07. There is a strong possibility that this position could become permanent after that time. This project involves developing a web application that is being funded by a client. However, we ultimately plan to launch this application as part of a new company and offer it to many more business clients. This could provide an unlimited growth opportunity for the right candidate.

In addition to possessing a positive, can-do attitude and being self-motivated, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

--experience web publishing with XHTML, CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, ActionScript, XML

--strong knowledge of current web standards & accessibility guidelines, as well as cross-platform browser issues

--experience developing for database and CMS-driven sites

--experience developing multimedia presentations and interactive, data-driven applications using Macromedia Flash

--graphic and user interface design skills

--experience with the Adobe Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, Imageready, Flash, Premiere, AfterEffects, Fireworks, Dreamweaver

--experience with the design and implementation of intuitive interfaces that delight users with elegance and simplicity

--excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

--ability to work collaboratively
