Join the University's IT team! We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to work as part of the Information Technology department at the University.
Summary
Analyzes documents and proposes solutions for large and/or complex business areas and prepares functional specifications
Essential Job Functions
- Guides university departments in analyzing their business needs by translating business requirements into technical solutions and software and systems configurations consistent with IT policy and capabilities
- Leads and contributes to IT projects as a technical resource using knowledge to design a variety of technical business solutions
- Analyzes and documents business processes
- Documents workflows and results of business analyses and obtains approval from clients on specifications
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Moderate amount of experience working in a business analyst role or in other related work
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or greater in engineering, business, computer science or a related field of study
- Experience working in higher education
Additional Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, IE, Outlook and Project
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer skills
- Works effectively with others as part of a team
