Job Title: QA Manager

  The QA Manager is responsible for overseeing the QA department and overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources by providing necessary definition, development, and deployment of the QA strategy that will address all phases of product development activities. The environment is both exciting and challenging and requires an excellent ability to multitask and to manage shifting priorities.

  Responsibilities:

  • • Organize test plans and schedules, and maintain a resource plan that will provide visibility into the past, current, and future work plan.
  • • Work with the product development team to influence projects and resolve product issues
  • • Anticipates program release problems and takes corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments
  • • Evangelize QA and be highly visible as the champion of QA to both internal and external clients.
  • • Champion process improvement including automated regression testing
  • • Develop and manage quality assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams.
  • • Coach, mentor and lead highly dynamic team members to help achieve the requirements of this position as well as the individual career goals of team members.
  • • Maintain a level of knowledge on the internal systems in order to provide support to QA staff.
  • • Contribute to maintaining internal and external documentation when necessary
  • • Review and supplement test plans with additional tests based on defects as well as analysis of code and test coverage
  • • Willingness to assist with executing test plans when necessary.

  General Requirements:

  • Experience working in an Agile environment

• • Bachelor’s Degree from a leading 4-year college or university
• • 4 – 7 years of experience leading a QA team, or in a QA leadership role.
• • Great organizational and team management skills
• • Experience testing data driven web applications both manually and using scripting languages or automated tools.
• • Strong data analysis skills
• • Familiarity with search engine marketing and web analytics concepts a strong plus detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• • Excellent written and oral communication skills
• • Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities professionally
• • Successful applicant will have demonstrated ability to work well within the test organization and also with development, program management, marketing, application engineering is expected
