QUALIFICATIONS/JOB DESCRIPTION:  The candidate will start off as a contestant in The Rhode Show’s “Search for a Star.”  For full information, visit http://www.wpri.com/subindex/rhode_show/search_for_a_star.

Once the winner is picked, this person will have a job on The Rhode Show for a period of one year (beginning on January 1, 2013). This person will be one of three hosts on The Rhode Show- Southern New England’s only locally produced morning local news, entertainment and lifestyle show. Our ideal candidate should have a great personality, be upbeat, outgoing, and ready to work hard and have fun. This person should also be efficient with web and mobile communications systems, including blogging, texting, uploading video as well as shooting video and still pictures. Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years of age.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Appearing as talent in daily, live broadcast
• Producing content for The Rhode Show including: interviewing, shooting & logging video, writing, voicing segments
• Participating in content planning sessions with producers
• Representing the stations in appearances at promotional and client events
