Investment Instruments Corporation, owner of award winning Web 2.0 sites Rentometer.com and RentometerPro.com, is seeking a full-time Ruby on Rails developer to join our team. IIC was founded by Internet veterans in 2004 to transform one of the largest segments of the Real Estate industry. We are currently adding significant functionality to our software, so you will have the opportunity to shape product direction. All of our systems are built from the ground up on Ruby on Rails, and have been in production for over 5 years.

We're looking for a talented software developer to design new features and build great user interfaces. IIC is based in Boston, MA and is seeking developers in Providence, RI. Local candidates are preferred, but remote candidates will be considered.

Required Skills
- 3-5 years of hands on experience developing web applications
- 2+ years experience developing web applications with Ruby on Rails 
- Solid experience writing well-formed and compliant HTML and CSS

- Experience with source control management tools like Git and Subversion 
- Familiarity with the command line, and the ability to work across remote servers 
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once 
- Ability to work remotely 
- Ability to collect and formulate project requirements 
- Excellent communication skills

Desired Skills
- CS degree or equivalent 
- Unix systems administration experience 
- Advanced experience with Javascript and frameworks such as Prototype/Scriptaculous and JQuery 
- Experience with schema-less databases, like MongoDB and CouchDB
