Position Description

 

InQuest Technologies has exciting opportunities for individuals with experience in sales of enterprise level software products in specific vertical markets. We are a Providence-based software company with a groundbreaking solution for enterprise software that helps leading organizations like the US Navy, Gilbane Construction Company, Verizon, Con Edison and many others manage billion dollars worth of projects, infrastructure, assets and more. Our product IQ9 is easier and faster to deploy, is more rapidly configurable, and has a highly competitive total cost of ownership.

 

InQuest is focusing its sales growth in selected vertical markets and is looking for sales associates that bring a combination of drive, communication and listening skills, familiarity with web-based software application and/or subject matter experience in the vertical market segments. These include;

 

1.     Government

 

·         (State, Municipal) building plan review, inspections and permitting

·         (State, Federal and DoD) asset, infrastructure and contract management

·         (State, Federal) permitting and regulatory management

 

2.     Architectural, Engineering and Construction

3.     Utilities / Telecommunications

 

With a blue-chip customer base and a competitive product offering, we anticipate significant growth opportunities in our targeted market segments. InQuest needs help penetrating these markets, increasing our exposure and expanding its rapidly growing list of customers through coordinated marketing and sales campaigns. We want to find the right contributors that can help fuel our growth, with the opportunity to earn an expanded, long-term relationship with our company.

 

Our plan is to build a team of inside sales associates that will learn and grow with us. The positions will be filled by those candidates who can learn and grow by “doing” beginning with primarily telephone and web-based sales processes. You will be part of a team that can effectively progress sales opportunities from first call to close. Those inside sales associates who deliver results and who demonstrate teamwork may have an opportunity for promotion to higher level positions including outside sales, vertical market representative, manager and other potential full-time positions.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for decisive, organized, and results oriented, Inside Sales experts to sell the InQuest IQ9 enterprise software product to targeted decision-makers in our selected vertical markets. Key qualifications should include;

 

·         Proven ability to develop and manage a sales territory based on cold calling, web campaigns, and networking activity, focused on the key decision making levels, including Executive level decision makers [CEO, CIO, CFO, VP’s and Directors]. 

·         Experience adapting and adjusting to prospect feedback and helping fine-tune sales tools and tactics in conjunction with the sales team and marketing.

·         Track record developing and increasing closed sales using the phone, email and webinars. 

·         Desired candidate will have a bachelor's degree and experience professional sales, business, marketing, related area or equivalent sales experience, and at least 2 years of experience in finding and developing new client relationships in a business-to-business field sales position. 

  • Subject matter experience and background in the vertical market segments, bringing an understanding of the targeted markets and the value of solutions offered.

·         Desire to increase compensation and position responsibilities based on performance and results.

 


Representative Responsibilities:

 

·         Identifies new client and sales opportunities, sets and achieves targeted client appointments per week through cold calling.

·         Manages the sales cycle from cold call through demonstrations/webinars, through pursuit and proposal.

·         Prepares and formally presents presentations, emails and proposals to Executive level decision makers [CEO, CIO, CFO, VP’s and Directors].

  • Aggressive revenue generation, within a defined territory (vertical market and/or regional), as evidenced through achievement of a significant revenue volume in net new business quota each quarter.
  • Team orientation; positively communicates and interacts with other departments for pre/post sales support, and responds actively and sensitively to the needs of clients with a focus on achieving high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Excelling in a dynamic, results oriented culture that requires adaptability to changes in procedures, processes, technologies, responsibilities, assignments, schedules, and unknown evolutions of sales team requirements (even on short notice).
