Description

We are currently looking for an individual with an outgoing personality with strong security & networking skills. Main responsibilities are to support our security services operational infrastructure and internal networks, which support member services. You will be exposed to a variety of businesses, technologies and network/server configurations, in additional to assisting members with security and systems administration. You must have experience and knowledge (installation, configuration, maintaining and troubleshooting) in the following areas:

* Security related software such as Snort, Netflow tools, and other open-source software for managing security events and monitoring
* Firewall administration and Maintenance
* Operational responsibilities include managing a ticketing system to handle all incoming requests and managing the daily tasks of all student workers
* Linux OS server administration including setup & installation, system software upgrades, planning, scheduling, testing, and deployment.
* DNS/DHCP/NTP/TCP/IP, administration and troubleshooting
* Perform other job-related duties as required.

Although the skills below are not required, candidates with knowledge and experience in one or several of the following areas are preferred:

* Snort, PHP, Apache, MySQL, Nmap, Nessus
* Debian and/or Gentoo Linux
* VMWare
* Windows XP/2000/2003
* Linux tools such as Bind, NTP, Syslog, Nagios, and Rsync

Candidate must be 100% customer service oriented and extremely detail oriented. We are looking for an energetic individual that takes pride and ownership in their work, with a strong desire to keep customers satisfied and assist a rapidly growing business.

Candidates Must Possess

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
* One relevant certification preferred (GIAC Certification Preferred)
* Demonstrate competency in administration in a server, Windows/Linux, and LAN//WAN environment including strong knowledge of TCP/IP.
* Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts orally and in writing to technical and non-technical users, team members, and vendors.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and conditions and manage complex technical projects, meet deadlines and effectively communicate program requirements.
