Description
Lifespan Corporation is looking for a skilled programmer and web site developer to join their award-winning IS department. As a member of the web team, you will create web-based medical and administrative applications using a variety of available tools, including PHP, Python, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL. You should have an excellent command of all aspects of web site production, including programming and server administration. You will be operating in a flexible development environment that is open to new technologies and development tools. REQUIREMENTS Must have a minimum of five years of experience in programming and systems design, including a combination of computer-related technical training and successively increasing information systems management responsibility. Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus. Must be security-minded and be able to demonstrate building usable interfaces, secure coding practices and thorough project documentation. Must be comfortable meeting with customers with limited technical backgrounds and be able to break down complex operations to a level they can understand. Must be able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to manage projects, create project plans and be able to complete projects independently. May be required to conduct training classes with non-technical users. Graphic design experience preferred but not required. Education Equivalent to Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field required. A combination of computer- related technical training and successively increasing information systems management responsibility may substitute for a degree. EXPERIENCE Five years experience in programming and systems design.
