Gypsii is looking for web developers to help build the next generation of Web 2.0 applications . The team is composed of cross functional developers and we need an expert on dynamic front end layouts using a mixture of XHTML, DHTML, CSS2 JavaScript, DOM, AJAX and other technologies. The web developer will integrate the front end work with the back-end applications to produce highly aesthetic and highly functional web solutions. Projects will range from modification of existing code to new development projects from the ground up. Some server-side scripting will be required either on an open-source PHP platform or Perl. QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION- Expert knowledge of HTML/DHTML/CSS, JavaScript programming efforts
- Collaborate with business personnel to define requirements
- Strong PHP/Perl or similar experience
- Proven ability to work with all members of a project team
- Must be organized and capable of tracking multiple issues simultaneously
- Structured programming experience or coursework
- Ability to follow existing programming and style guidelines to maintain consistent website look and feel and consistent quality of code.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
- 3+ years of web development, including DHTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX
- Knowledge of the following programming languages: PHP, Perl, HTML, XML, and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of browser compatibility issues.
- Strong website development and maintenance skills.
- Flash action scripting experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience with three tier web architecture and backend integration with PHP or Java
