Clearwire Corp.’s Clear 4G Internet service is now available in Providence, the company announced Monday.

The fourth-generation technology enables consumers to send and receive data over longer distances than traditional WiFi networks. Clearwire also claims that its 4G network can reach internet speeds up to four times faster than 3G service.
