KVH wins $42M, 10-year contract with Coast Guard for broadband service
KVH Industries has won a $42 million, 10-year contract with the U.S. Coast Guard for its TracPhone V7 satellite communication system and the mini-VSAT broadband service, the telecommunications manufacturer said on Sept. 30.
The KVH TracPhone V7 systems will be deployed on 216 Coast Guard small cutters over the next three to five years. The contract is an indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity contract, and includes shipboard hardware, airtime services and support.
