APC acquired by Schneider Electric for $6.1 billion cash

With acquisition of APC, French company Schneider Electric becomes world leader in electrical distribution

The $31-per-share offer represents a 30.5% percent premium to American Power's Friday close of $23.76. Schneider said it will fund the deal with a $5.7 billion loan and new stock.
