Textron Systems announced recently, March 30th, that they are providing for the military a battle-tracking smartphone which will assist a soldier with situational awareness, by providing key details of their surroundings.

The system, called SoldierEyes, "allows the collection, reporting and communication of geo-reference information – video, reports, photos, etc. – between soldiers and existing command, control, communications, computers and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems (C4ISR)."
