KVH Industries Inc.’s TracPhone V7 and mini-VSAT Broadband network have been installed on ships by the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard as well as by other members of the 25-nation Combined Maritime Forces.

The KVH equipment and technology allows vessels to communicate securely with each other to better cooperate in anti-piracy and antiterrorism activities via satellite communications, or SATCOM, according to a recent KVH report, “Meeting the Critical Communications Challenges of the Multinational Counter-Piracy Coalition: The Case for KVH TracPhone V7 and the mini-VSAT Broadband Global SATCOM Network.”
