Fab Academy at AS220 is accepting applications

The Fab Academy is a Digital Fabrication Program directed by Neil Gershenfeld of MIT's Center For Bits and Atoms (CBA)and based on MIT's rapid prototyping course, MAS 863: How to Make (Almost) Anything. The Fab Academy began as an outreach project from the CBA, and has since spread to Fab Labs around the world. The program provides advanced digital fabrication instruction for students through an unique, hands-on curriculum and access to technological tools and resources.

For the past two years AS220 Labs has collaborated with MIT's Center for Bits and Atoms in offering the Providence Fab Academy. The 2012 Providence Fab Academy session will be held at AS220 Labs from January 2012 through June 2012.

If you are interested in becoming a Fab Academy student, please contact the local Instructor / Coordinator - Anna Kaziunas France at anna@as220.org. You can learn more about the Providence branch of program here:  http://www.as220.org/fabacademy/

Please contact me if you would like to volunteer or help promote the program at anna@as220.org

Thank you!
