Schneider Electric announced Tuesday that it acquired the intellectual property and software for a platform that measures power consumption.

“The acquisition will merge Viridity’s unique IT discovery and method of measuring server power consumption with Schneider Electric’s data center software to deliver best-in-class asset tracking, capacity planning and energy visualization for superior energy management,” Schneider said.
