SubChem Systems, Applied Science Associates, & WET Labs partner with URI on underwater network for research and defense
Local collaboration for dual-use surveillance and research system
SubChem Systems and Applied Science Associates, both URI spinoffs, are partnering with URI and WET Lab Inc., to develop an undersea sensor and communication network through integrating their current commecial products.
The system will make it easier for students and faculty at URI's Graduate School of Oceanography to do underwater research, and it may be marketed to groups like the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and EPA in the future.
