Item Group is an umbrella group for Ximedica, Innovation Chain Partners, and Item New Product Development.

Previously scattered among three different buildings in Providence's Jewelry District, the company's 100 employees now have space for independent development but also an environment that encourages dialogue, collaboration, and mentoring.

The company financed the project through a U.S. Small Business Administration-backed Bank of America loan and loans from the Providence Economic Development Partnership and the R.I. Economic Development Corporation.
