The medical records department at Roger Williams Medical Center recently received national recognition as one of the top coding hospitals in the country for 2007.

Ingenix Corp., the health-care information company that issues the award, looks at four different peer groups and identifies the 50 hospitals in each that has the best combination of complete and compliant coding. Roger Williams was one of 754 different hospitals listed under the category of “Minor Teaching Hospitals.” It was ranked 19th among the award’s 50 recipients.
