RI Business Plan announces high school track, new sponsors

2008 competition fields 33 sponsors, open to any student in an RI high school for $1000k prize

The Rhode Island Business Plan Competition today announced that it will include a high school track in its annual competition, the first time high school students will be invited to compete since the event was established in 2000...

...The high school track will award a single prize of $1,000 to the winner. Any student enrolled in an accredited high school in Rhode Island, including public, private, charter, religious, and home schools, may apply...

...At the same time, the competition announced that the Slater Technology Fund, a state funded organization that aims to launch new Rhode Island-based high-tech companies, and The Mergis Group, a Providence based professional recruiting firm, agreed to support the 2008 competition as sponsors.
