Paramount receives $1.6 million Navy contract

Combat control system will increase efficiency of information flow

Paramount Solutions, of Newport, has been awarded $1.6 million by the U.S. Navy for the development and implementation of a combat control system to be used at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division in Newport. The Combat Control for Distributed Netted Systems (CCDNS) program will vastly improve the effectiveness of nuclear submarines while integrating and adapting sensors, information systems, platforms and weapons systems. Using the CCDNS model, the Navy will be able to overcome critical command and control issues created by increasing amounts of data flow and will be better equipped to provide the right information at the right time, and in the right amount.
