Cox Business unveils new telephony platform

VoiceManager launched in Connecticut and Rhode Island this month

Cox Business recently unveiled its VoiceManager, a feature-rich telephony platform that integrates the desktop phone, PC and wireless devices to provide customers with enhanced communications control, flexibility and functionality.

Atlanta-based Cox says it is the first cable provider in North America to deploy a fully owned and managed IP telephony service that addresses the needs of the broad business market. Cox Business maintains and manages the service over its secure hosted network.

Because Cox Business VoiceManager is compatible with most existing phone systems, businesses also save the capital and operating expense of purchasing and maintaining new equipment, the company said.
