Slater re-invests in software startup Public Display

An additional $250,000 brings total Slater seed investment to half million

The Slater Technology Fund today announced it has provided a second round of funding to Providence-based Public Display, a Web-application firm developing information extraction software for consumers, Web publishers and advertisers...

...Public Display was founded in 2006 by a team of local serial entrepreneurs. Its proprietary technology employs artificial intelligence and natural language processing to make it easier to locate and use digital information on the Internet.

The company’s FuseCal application – currently in testing, and available online – is designed to help consumers more easily organize and subscribe to iCalendar files on the Web. It also enables advertisers and Webmasters to pinpoint and update users
