Towerstream joins Nasdaq Capital Market

Begins trading as TWER, marking its progress towards being a leading technology provider

Middletown-based WiMAX provider Towerstream Corp.’s common stock began trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market (formerly the Nasdaq Small Cap Market) last Thursday under the symbol TWER.

“The Nasdaq Capital Market [formerly known as the Nasdaq SmallCap Market] furthers Towerstream's progression from a startup wireless company to a leading technology provider,” [President and CEO Jeff] Thompson said. The move will increase the company’s liquidity, he said, while also bringing “added visibility” and “greater exposure with institutional investors.”
