GreenBytes moves to new office in Ashaway

GreenBytes, a startup company that has developed energy-efficient data storage technology, has relocated to new offices in the Hopkinton Industrial Park in Ashaway.

GreenBytes new storage system, Cypress, uses proprietary software to optimize a Sun Microsystems storage server. According to greenBytes, Cypress uses 25-percent less energy and takes up one-seventh the space of comparable systems. The system is priced at $1 per gigabyte of storage.
