Atrion lands a contract with largest bank in Latin America

Atrion Networking Corp. has signed a contract with the largest bank in Latin America, Banco do Brasil S.A., to build the network systems for the bank’s 10 proposed new U.S. offices.

Banco do Brasil currently has more than 42 global offices, including three in the U.S. The new locations that Atrion will be supporting and servicing will include five banking branches, two data centers, two bank offices and one back office.

Atrion says it will build an integrated Unified Communications platform for the bank, which will allow for voice, video and web conferencing, active directory, extension mobility and voice, video and e-mail convergence. Atrion also will provide tiered security measures and carrier services, including Internet and telephone, in a liaison role.

Atrion said the network will be able to expand if Banco do Brasil adds new locations in the coming years.
