KVH wins $2.6M torpedo tech order from Navy
Guidance system is fiber optic, gyro-based, and includes three accelerometers
Full Story: KVH collects $2.6M order for torpedo guidance tech Source: Mass High Tech, February 12th, 2007 Added on June 22nd, 2007 at 3:34 am, by Judy HeThe Navy has ordered TG-6000 inertial measurement units from Middletown, R.I.-based KVH for use in the MK54 torpedoes. This is the first of three options from a contract originally signed in September 2005, which has a potential value of more than $15.8 million. Officials say shipments for this option will extend into 2008.
