Astro-Med Inc. (NASDAQ: ALOT) today announced that its Grass Technologies group has received federal approval to begin marketing its Neurotrac III neuromonitoring system.

The software package received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in recording electroencephalograms (EEGs) and computing EEG trends over extended periods. The FDA approval allows Grass to begin selling this existing product for new applications in continuous monitoring.
