Applied Radar wins $2.2M to develop advanced radar technology

Greater signal separation will allow same antenna to transmit and receive

Applied Radar Inc. of North Kingstown announced Friday (Sept. 8) that it has been awarded a $2.2 million contract with the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) to develop advanced radar technology.

“This novel technology is of great interest to the U.S. Air Force because an airborne platform, such as an aircraft or unmanned aerial vehicle, has limited space for sensors and antennas."
