Applied Radar introduces line of textile antennas

Textile technology expected to displace traditional printed circuit antenna tech

[North Kingstown-based] Applied Radar announced the introduction of a new line of electronic textile (or e-textile) antennas that enable higher-performance and lower-cost wireless and radar products. This technology will also help the U.S. textile industry, which has recently suffered from offshore competition.

The flexibility provided [by the textile technology] could offer a range of new applications, such as aesthetically pleasing home wireless to wearable fashion-enhancing garment antennas.
