Hasbro maintains Marvel rights through 2017

Marvel Entertainment Inc. and Pawtucket-based Hasbro Inc. announced that the toy maker will continue to have the rights to make toys and games based on new Marvel and Columbia Pictures movies and Marvel characters such as Spider-Man through 2017. The license extension guarantees a minimum of $100 million in royalties and as much as $140 million. The current agreement ran through 2011.
