Creative Circle Advertising Solutions takes classifieds online
Interview with CEO about potential of Web-based classified advertising
Full Story: Papers’ online classifieds are given an added edge Source: Providence Business News, June 24th, 2006 Added on June 29th, 2007 at 5:51 pm, by Judy HePBN: You’ve described adQ as the first true e-commerce solution for newspaper classifieds. What do you mean by that?
[Creative Circle Advertising Solutions CEO Bill] OSTENDORF: ...All [ways of taking classifieds online] basically had a big box that said, “Write your ad here.” We found that 70 to 90 percent of the people who started to place a classified ad in a newspaper online gave up...Newspapers and media sites want to charge for advertising, so they have to give you something more. What they give you is promotion and distribution...One of the other values they should bring is they should help you write your ads. Our software does that and adds value that makes it viable to charge 25 bucks for an ad when others are charging nothing for theirs...PBN: One of your selling points about adQ is that it’s poised to take advantage of the next round of technology advances. What advances might that be?
OSTENDORF: ...Because our technology is open source, it can talk to any technology, so we’re in a position to be an interface for anyone who wants to be in the business of posting information about stuff.
