KVH Industries Inc. plans to give a $1,000 scholarship to a college-bound Aquidneck Island high school senior who plans to enter a four-year undergraduate math or engineering program next fall.

Students who live or attend high school on Aquidneck Island, as well as the children and grandchildren of all current KVH employees, are eligible. Preference will be given to students who have a financial need.
